The one day Akagera wildlife Safari offers the greatest Safari experience one can have. The tour
means that we leave Kigali early morning towards Akagera National Park for an estimated 3 hours’
drive with local expert driver guide. The transport is assured with a choice 4×4 safari vehicle with
Wi-Fi connectivity to keep you connected with your lovely ones and the world.
A safari, also known as a game drive, is an amazing opportunity to see the big 5 species and other
kind of animals closely in their natural habitat.
Akagera National Park is one of central Africa’s last-remaining refuges for endemic savannah
wildlife in Rwanda and the largest protected wetland in the region, occupying 1122 km2 of land
area. Established in 1934, Big 5 Species are one of the biggest attractions in Akagera National Park
whereby travelers get to see the Lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Leopards, and Rhinos.
The forest in Akagera is a combination of fringed lakes, papyrus swamps, savannah plains and
rolling highlands which make the park amongst the most scenic of reserves anywhere in Africa. It
has exceptional levels of biodiversity and forms the largest protected wetland I central Africa.
Akagera is the home of great variety of wildlife mammals which includes, elephants, buffalos,
giraffe, zebras, leopards, hyenas, lions. Several antelopes including bushbucks, Topes, Orbits, waterbuck, 

roan antelope duiker, klipspringer, impala and Cape eland. In addition, you will be able to see

olive baboons and verve monkeys in the park. Akagera National Park is not only home of the big five
African games, it has also a major habitat to over 550 unique bird species.

SIMPLE ITINERARY:
* 5:00 AM pickup at Hotel (Kigali) towards Akagera National Park for an estimate drive of 2.5 to 3
Hours
Mid-way: stop-over by imigongo Art Coffee shop for leg stretching, using the washrooms, having
some coffee, and exploring the difference art objects in their exhibition hall.
* 8:00 am clearing at the park entry & Reception
* 9:00 am Boat trip scheduled morning
* 10:40 am Game drive
* 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Lunch (Hot lunch or Parked Lunch) at Picnic Area
* 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Full day game drive
* 4:00 pm end of the day trip and one way back to Kigali (Hotel)
