7:00 to 8:00 am meet up at the park officials at RDB for briefing, allocated to a gorilla family to visit
and the actual trek begin at exactly 8:00am
1 Day Gorilla trekking in Rwanda may take up to 7 Hours and it covers one hour of magical
encounters. After you get back to meet the driver guide and be transferred back to Kigali and it
marks the end of 2 Days gorilla trekking in Rwanda.
Volcanoes National Park is a national park in northwestern Rwanda. It covers 160km2 of the
rainforest and encompasses five of the eight volcanoes in the virunga Mountains, namely Karisimbi,
Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga and Sabyinyo.
Volcanoes National Park is a rich ecosystem, a habitat with vibrant and unique mammal species.
Mountain gorillas and Golden monkeys are most recognized than other wildlife species because the
Virunga volcanoes region is their only habitat on earth and was the base for the primatologist Dian
Fossey.
Volcanoes is a heaven to over 200 bird species and of which 17 are of Albertine Rift Endemics.

*4:00 am pickup from Hotel (Kigali) towards Musanze Volcanoes National Park for an
estimated 2.5 to 3 hours’ drive
*6:30 pm to 7am having some coffee and meet up with the park officials and get briefed
*8:00 am ready for Gorilla trekking
*8:00 am to 11:00 am Gorilla trekking
*12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Lunch in Restaurant.
*2:00 pm to 3:00 pm visit the Ellen DeGeneres campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.
*3:00 pm end of the tour and one way back to Kigali.
